Depression Counselor: Understanding Depression In Bipolar Disorder
According to the National Institute of Mental Health, Bipolar Disorder is defined as “a mental illness that causes dramatic shifts in a person’s mood, energy and ability to think clearly.” Oftentimes a person with bipolar disorder will experience extreme high and low moods – known as mania and depression.
